A visit to Blackpill just after high tide produced low counts of the usual gulls (with no Mediterranean Gulls). There were however, large numbers of Oystercatcher and about 70 Curlew. There was a Little Egret also, probably one of the birds that have been seen on several occasions recently.
Next, I visited Knab Rock and Mumbles Pier. At both sites, little was seen including the Great Northern Diver, which had been present for a couple of days. A female Eider was seen well to the north of the Pier, and several Turnstone were around also.
