Day eleven was the penultimate day of our trip, but we weren’t able to do much birding as the time was largely spent packing and cleaning. We did manage to go out for a walk in the woods near Loch Morlich, but it was pretty quiet. The only notable sighting was a single Crossbill sp. which flew overhead, calling. I am fairly confident it was a Common Crossbill (not a Scottish), as I am familiar with the calls of both species, and heard this individual well.
There were a couple of Siskin around and some of the other typical woodland species were seen, but all-in-all it was very quiet.
